The exams were conducted in an offline OMR-based format, and the breach in paper security has sparked serious concerns about question paper leaks and irregularities in the evaluation process.
“Such incidents are not just lapses in procedure but direct attacks on the dreams and trust of thousands of aspirants,” remarked activist Rajat Kumar Mishra, who has lodged a formal complaint with the Chief Minister’s Grievance Cell.
Appeals for Transparency and Reform
In a joint press conference, the group demanded that the Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) be held accountable for the recent mishandling. They further called on the Odisha School Education Programme Authority (OSEPA) to:
- Release mark sheets of successful candidates in recent LTR exams
- Conduct a review of CCTV footage from affected exam centres
- Raise the upper age limit for government job aspirants to 40 years, citing increased competition and delays in recruitment cycles
These demands reflect a broader crisis of confidence in the recruitment system, which many believe is jeopardising merit-based selection and eroding public faith.
